Considered care: what it means to us.

There is a difference between self-care that requires you to do more, and self-care that requires you to pay attention.
The first version is the one we’re more familiar with. A drawer full of products, a routine that takes twenty minutes, a feed full of recommendations to add the next thing. Some of this is good. Some of it is a low-grade form of homework. Past a certain point it stops being care and starts being administration.
We made IJB for the other version. The one that’s smaller, slower, and asks for attention instead of products.
“Considered” is the word we keep coming back to. It’s the one that holds the whole brand together. It’s not minimalism, exactly. It’s not aesthetic restraint for the sake of it. It’s the deliberate choosing of fewer steps, fewer ingredients, fewer claims — and a closer attention to the ones you keep.
In the formula, considered means a short ingredient list where every line is doing work. Magnesium for mineral character. Shea for nourishment and slip. Jojoba for hydration that mimics what skin already makes. Lavender, quietly, to tie it together. No filler. No fragrance to mask anything. No claims the formula can’t keep.
In the ritual, considered means three steps instead of seven. Warm, pause, apply. Two minutes instead of fifteen. A daily practice that fits the size of a real evening rather than a curated one.
In the brand, considered means we’d rather make one product carefully than ten products quickly. We’d rather you reach for IJB because the ritual settled you, not because the bottle photographs well. We’d rather be remembered as quiet than viral.
This is what we mean by considered care. Not less for the sake of less — but enough, paid close attention to. It’s the only version of self-care that has ever felt like it was actually for us.
If your routine right now feels like a lot, that’s a sign worth listening to. Less, considered, is often more care than more, performed.
Begin where you are. Notice what feels like work and what feels like a moment. Choose the things that ask less of you and give more in return.
That, more than any single product, is the brand.
Less, paid close attention to.
Magnesium Body Butter — one product, three steps, made to be enough.
